On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA), which left 85 dead and hundreds injured, the Argentine Government reiterates its strong commitment to the fight against impunity and the search for memory, truth and justice.
The clarification of this terrible attack is a cause embraced by the whole Argentine people. Argentina will continue pursuing its goal of bringing all those involved in the attack before national courts.
Argentina once again strongly condemns terrorism and violence in all forms. The Government and the people of Argentina firmly believe that those who promote terror will not triumph because we will never surrender to oblivion and impunity. Argentina will always work to fight and eradicate the scourge of terrorism and radical extremism, within the context of international law and respect for human rights.
On this new anniversary, the Foreign Ministry and the World Jewish Congress have organized commemorative ceremonies in 20 capital cities around the world to pay homage to the victims and keep memory alive.
