The Argentine Republic condemns the attack perpetrated on a hotel complex in Nairobi, the capital city of the Republic of Kenya, which left several dead and injured. Somali terrorist group Al-Shabaab, who also attacked a shopping mall in Nairobi in 2013, claimed responsibility for the attack.

In the face of this brutal attack, the Argentine Government conveys its condolences and solidarity to the Government and people of Kenya, as well as to the families of the victims.

Argentina once again strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and reiterates its willingness to strengthen the fight against this scourge, as well as to guarantee international peace and security, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
