The Argentine Government strongly condemns the terrorist attack perpetrated today in Pakistan against the Sufi shrine of Data Darbar, in the city of Lahore, Punjabi, which has left many dead and injured.

The Argentine Government expresses its solidarity with the people and Government of Pakistan, and conveys its condolences to the families of the victims, hoping for a speedy recovery of those injured.

Argentina calls for respect for places of prayer, tolerance and religious freedom, reaffirms its strong condemnation of terrorism in all of its forms, and expresses once again its willingness to strengthen the fight against this scourge, as well as to guarantee international peace, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
