The Argentine Republic once again vigorously condemns the launch of a missile by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from an area near Mupyong-ri towards the Sea of Japan, on Friday 28 July.
This is a new act of hostility and provocation against the international community which overtly violates international obligations arising from United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013), 2094 (2013), 2270 (2016), 2321 (2016), 2345 (2017) and 2356 (2017), which address the North Korean missile and nuclear programmes.
Argentina once again urges the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to promptly comply with these Resolutions and end these systematic hostile acts in the region, which constitute a new threat to international peace and security.
