Today, the Argentine Foreign Minister, Jorge Faurie, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Teodor-Viorel Meleşcanu, held a meeting at the Argentine Mission to the UN, within the framework of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, in which they both participated.
On this occasion, Faurie and Melescanu signed an Extradition Treaty, which will contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation on legal assistance.
In addition, the Ministers underscored the excellent state of the bilateral relationship, based on shared values and similar views on many foreign policy issues. The Foreign Ministers also assessed the status of negotiations of the MERCOSUR-EU agreement.
The Romanian Foreign Minister invited the Argentine Foreign Minister to visit Romania and hold high-level political and economic talks.
