The Argentine Government condemns the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen towards Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 4 November.

This new act of violence evidences the pressing need to reach a political and negotiated agreement in Yemen, based on the relevant resolutions of the United Nations and, especially, on the efforts of the Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Yemen, Ismael Ouid Cheikh Ahmed.

Argentina once again condemns all acts of violence and reiterates its willingness to step up the fight against terrorism, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
