The Argentine Government condemns the attack on civilians perpetrated at a restaurant in Dacca, the capital city of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, as well as the taking of hostages.

Out of the two Argentine nationals who work at the restaurant, one managed to escape and is safe, while the other had travelled to Buenos Aires on vacation and thus was not present at the time of the attack.

The Argentine Embassy in India, concurrent with Bangladesh, is working in coordination with the Argentine Foreign Ministry in order to provide any necessary assistance.

The Argentine Republic reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and conveys its solidarity to the Government and the people of Bangladesh, especially to the families of the dead and the injured who fell victim to the brutal attack.
