The Argentine Republic once again vigorously condemns the launch of several intermediate-range ballistic missiles conducted on Monday 6 March by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which landed in the Sea of Japan.
This is a new act of hostility and provocation against the international community which overtly violates international obligations arising from United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013), 2094 (2013), 2270 (2016) and 2321 (2016), which address the North Korean missile and nuclear programmes.
Argentina urges the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to immediately comply with the abovementioned Resolutions and abandon this methodology of hostile acts in the region, which constitute a new threat to international peace and security.
