The Argentine Republic strongly condemns the attack perpetrated today in the city of Al Hasakah, in the northeast of the Syrian Arab Republic, and mourns the sad toll of more than ten people dead or injured.

The Argentine Government conveys its condolences and solidarity to the Syrian people and to the victims’ families.

Argentina reaffirms its support for the efforts undertaken by the United Nations and the international community to strengthen the mechanisms to find an immediate solution to the profound humanitarian crisis, to achieve a ceasefire and to reach a political agreement that puts and end to the Syrian conflict.

The Argentine Republic reiterates its firm commitment to peace and to the fight against terrorism, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
