Continuing with her agenda in New York, within the framework of the 71st UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra held today a bilateral meeting with her counterpart for the European Union, Federica Mogherini, with whom she discussed the main items on their bilateral and regional agendas, as well as biodiesel and MERCOSUR negotiations with the European Union.

Malcorra participated in an important coordination meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), in preparation for the next meeting of Foreign Ministers and High-Level Officials of CELAC and EU, which will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 24 to 26 October 2016.

The Argentine Foreign Minister met with Madeleine Allbright, former US Secretary of State, and held bilateral meetings with her counterparts from Palestina, Riyad al Malki; Kenya, Amina Mohamed; and Singapore, Vivian Balakrishnan.

Malcorra then participated in the High-Level Event "Delivering Zero Hunger," requested by the World Food Programme (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which was held at the UN Economic and Social Council.
