Today, Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart from Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

During the meeting, the Ministers reviewed the various items on the bilateral agenda. Foreign Minister Faurie communicated to his counterpart from Kuwait Argentina's interest in expanding and diversifying bilateral trade, which does not reflect its potential for development.

As regards investments, Faurie stated that Argentina appreciates the support provided by Kuwait's Fund for Development to the projects submitted so far.

The Argentine Foreign Minister and Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also addressed topics pertaining to their respective regions. Faurie stated that Argentina follows with concern the tense situation among several Gulf countries and expressed its support for Kuwait's mediation efforts to solve this crisis through dialogue and negotiation.
