Delia Ferreira Rubio from Argentina was elected Chair of Transparency International, the world's leading NGO in the fight against corruption.

Ferreira Rubio, the former president of Poder Ciudadano, was elected in recognition of her career and her commitment to public transparency and ethics.

The Argentine Government recognizes the key role that civil society plays in processes to change and strengthen public institutions, like the one being led by President Macri.

Among the latest initiatives led by the Argentine Executive Branch in the fight against corruption, the most salient ones include Argentina's adhesion to the OECD Council Recommendation on Public Integrity and the Senate's approval on 27 September of the Corporate Liability Bill, which returned to the House of Deputies for its final consideration.
