Today, the President of the Venezuelan National Assembly Juan Guaidó took office as the Interim President of Venezuela in accordance with the Venezuelan Constitution.

The Government of the Argentine Republic recognizes Congressman Juan Guaidó as the Interim President of Venezuela.

Argentina will continue to support the restoration of democracy and full respect for human rights in the kindred nation of Venezuela, as well as the recovery of decent living conditions for the Venezuelan people.
