The Argentine Government strongly condemns the terrorist attack perpetrated on 14 September near the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah, for which Islamic State has claimed responsibility and which has left a tragic death toll of at least 50 civilians. The Argentine Republic conveys its condolences to the families of the victims and expresses its solidarity to the Government and people of Iraq, and wishes a speedy recovery of those injured.

Argentina condemns all forms of terrorism and once again calls on the international community to seek appropriate mechanisms to combat this scourge.
