The Argentine Government expresses its regret and condolences to the Government and people of Indonesia over the tsunami that hit the islands in the Sunda strait on 22 December, which left hundreds dead, injured and displaced. This natural disaster, caused by an underwater slide after the eruption of the Anak Krakatoa volcano, adds to the tragic events which struck Indonesia during the second half of 2018.

Argentina especially stands with the victims' families and hopes for a speedy recovery of those injured.
